Kennet & Avon Cycle Route
Sat 05 Sep 2009 07:53:32 AM MDTOn the weekend of September 5, 2009, I took an overnight trip on the Kennet & Avon Cycle Route from Bath to Reading. An 85-mile trail, the middle 34 miles are on country roads, and the two ends follow the tow path. Highlights of the trip were the pumping stations at Claverton and Crofton, a dramatic staircase of 16 locks outside Devises, a lovely B&B in Burbage, and countless character cottages and country views. http://www.heiserhollow.net/category/cycling/kennet-avon-cycle-route/
